Off-grid & remote power
Baja Solar Solutions designs and installs complete off-grid solar systems for properties across Baja California Sur where the grid is weak, unreliable, or simply not there — ranches, remote homes, and coastal communities. We combine solar, lithium battery storage, and optional generator integration into one system that makes your property its own power plant.
Frequently asked questions
What's included in an off-grid solar system?
An off-grid system pairs solar panels with lithium battery storage and an inverter, plus optional generator integration for backup. It runs your property independently of CFE — generating by day, storing for night and cloudy stretches.
Can a full home or ranch run entirely off-grid?
Yes. We size the array and battery bank to your actual loads and usage patterns, so a properly designed off-grid system can run a full home or working ranch year-round. The key is matching capacity to how and when you use power.
How to size an off-grid solar system in BCSDo I still need a generator?
Not always, but many off-grid systems include a generator as backup for extended cloudy periods or unusually heavy loads. We integrate it so it only runs when needed, minimizing fuel and noise.
How is off-grid different from a hybrid system?
Off-grid means no CFE connection at all — your system is your only power source. A hybrid system stays grid-connected and uses batteries mainly for backup during outages. Which fits depends on whether you have a usable grid connection.
Battery storage & backupDo you install in remote areas with difficult access?
Yes — remote work is a core part of what we do across BCS, from the East Cape to isolated coastal communities. If the site is reachable, there's a good chance we can design and install there; logistics and access are part of our planning.
